皆さんは視覚後方マスキングをご存知ですか？これは、一瞬最初の物が見え、その次に他のものが見えた場合、最初に見えたものが見えなくなるという現象です。
中央大学が発表した論文では、3~4ヶ月の子供には視覚後方マスキングの実験をした際、最初にみたものが見えなくなっているはずでも見えていることが分かりました。
実験では、人の顔をパソコンの画面上に映し出し、視覚マスキングを行った際と視覚マスキングを行わず普通に人の顔を映し出す2通りの方法で試しました。この実験を行った結果、3~4ヶ月の子供は視覚マスキング後も最初の画像が見えていたのに対し、7~8ヶ月の子供は、大人と同じように視覚マスキング後には最初の画像が見えていないことが分かりました。
このことから、子供の視覚認知能力は4ヶ月を過ぎた頃から飛躍的に良くなり、大人と同じ能力を身につけることが分かりました。論文にはありませんでしたが、霊能力を持つ子供が多いのもこのせいなのかも？と読みながら思ってしまいました笑。
Do you know what visual backward masking is? It is a phenomenon where we can't see the first image when the first image gets immediately replaced by the second image.
Chuo University has published a research paper stating that infants between 3~4 months can see the first image even after the visual masking.
This experiment was done in two conditions: ①Control group where faces on the screen was not followed by masking ②When the faces on the screen gets masked. From this experiment, it suggested that kids between 3~4 months have an ability to perceive the first image even after the masking, but kids between 7~8 months cannot similarly to adults.
From this research result, it suggests that perception in kids develop dramatically after 4 months and gets closer to adults. It is nothing to do with this paper, but I was thinking this may be why it is thought that kids are more sensitive to spiritual things.
