小児がんの新しい治療法：音楽療法　　New Pediatric Cancer Treatment: Music Therapy

今日は音楽療法についてです。音楽療法は、最近小児癌に限らず様々な病気（特に子供）を治す方法としてとても注目されています。ストレスが軽減されるのと、直接癌などの病気にも効くそうです。そんな音楽療法ですが、治療法として取り入れている病院はまだ数えるほどしかないです。医学的に証明されていないなどの理由で取り入れていない病院も少なくないようです。癌などの病気に直接的な効果があるかないかは私たちにはわからないですが、少なくとも音楽は患者さん達が安らぎを与えると思います。音楽療法が近いうちに病院などで力を発揮してくれることを祈っています。
Today, it's about music therapy. Recently, music therapy is founded to be effective towards cancer (especially in kids). It reduces the stress which leads to the increase in the ability to recover, and it might also have a direct effect to the cancer. However, not many hospitals and other medical facilities uses this as one of the ways to help patients, just because it is not medically proved that music will reduce the cancer rate. We do not know music will have a positive effect on cancer itself, but we all know that music provides this free, nice, and relaxing moment to patients. I really hope that music therapy will show its ability and become the common way to help patients in the soon future 🙂
