University in Australia suggested that people who take more vitamin K have lower risk of getting atherosclerosis-related cardiovascular disease.
This research took samples from 50000 people for 23 years, in which they surveyed their food and see whether these people hospitalised from it or not. Vitamin K1 is very prevalent in green vegetables whereas vitamin K2 is very prevalent in meat and eggs.
When the group taking the most vitamin K1 was compared to the group that does not take vitamin K1 much, it decreased the rate of hospitalisation by 21%. Similar was seen with K2 where it decreased the risk of hospitalisation by 14%. The daily vitamin K guidelines are only based on the amount that is needed for the blood to not coagulate, however, those recent research have been showing that vitamin K is preventing the heart disease.
There may be more factors affecting the risk of cardiovascular disease other than the amount of vitamin K intake; however, we can just be careful a small thing in our diet, and we can change our health!
People with a strong life purpose does not feel loneliness during isolation”

The purpose of living in this context is the goal and values that you want to achieve which could involve your family, religion and any other things. Generally, people with the strong purpose of living are healthier than those without one.
From the research through surveying 500 different individuals, it was revealed that during self-isolation for COVID-19, people who experienced loneliness were less concentrated, and people who has a strong purpose of living were less likely to get lonely.
More interestingly, people with strong purpose for living were more careful with their prevention than those without one.
It definitely is not easy to find the purpose of living, but if there is something or the time you could love to do, then it may change a lot of things in a good way.
Air pollution can increase the risk of dementia!”
University of Washington has suggested that small particle air pollution such as PM2.5, it increases the risk of dementia.
According to the paper, increase of small amount of small particle air pollution over a decade in Washington is increasing the risk of dementia. When those particles increase 1 microgram per cubic meter in an air, it increases the risk of Alzheimer’s-like disease by 16%.
16% may not sound very big, but when we scale that up to the whole population, and each individual is increasing their risk of dementia by 16%, then it will dramatically increase the number of patients with dementia.
I think this clearly showed how air pollution will not only destroy the environment, but also destroy our health.
Your child may get hearing loss when they use chemotherapy!”
A reputable university in University of British Columbia has revealed that when the chemotherapy is used to treat paediatric cancer, kids may be subjected to experience hearing loss.
Among all children, children who are in the process of learning language were more likely to experience hearing loss than children who are old enough and finished acquiring language. Within 3 years from the start of the chemotherapy initiation, 78% of children younger than 5 years old, and 48% of children above 5 years old were not able to hear.
The reason behind the hearing loss is still not determined, but it is thought that the chemicals used for chemotherapy is affecting the inner part of the ear which picks up the sound.
I hope researchers can find the mechanism behind this, and I hope children will not have to experience any more hard situation.
