小児がん患者の入院環境の現状

小児がんという病気の原因は未だにはっきりとは分かっておらず、先天的な因子や遺伝子の関与が疑われています。そしてなによりも私が驚いたのは、入院中の親子はわずか２坪の狭い部屋に入れられてしまうことです。２坪といえば、ベット二つでいっぱいになってしまいます。この居心地の悪さはきっとすごいストレスを与えていますよね。。。このストレスから小児がんには限りませんが、症状が悪化する、なんてこともあるそうです。そんな中、小児がん治療専門施設「チャイルド・ケモ・ハウス」という施設が設立されました。治療施設や病院という概念からはかけ離れた、マイホームのような作りだそうです！！本当にこんな施設が早く普及し、患者さんや家族の方が安心かつ快適に治療に専念できるようになればと切に願いますっています。

There are no valid and legitimate reason for the cause of pediatric cancer, but today's medical sciences assume that there are some connections with gene. The thing surprised me was that the room for patient and family was only 6.6m^2, which will be filled if there are two beds. This uncomfortableness of the room makes not only cancer, but many of the illnesses worse. Meanwhile, "Child Chemo House" was established. This is a house that is way different from the conventional hospitals, and it is more like "my home"!! I really hope those kind of homes prevail, and let families and patient to feel relief and comfortable to focus on the treatment.
