Reality behind changing the medical treatments based on the skin colour.

It is very sad to accept the reality, but there are still people who discriminate against skin colour everywhere in the world. Japan is not as international as US so we rarely hear those stories, but in US, there are lots of black patients who were prescribed lower doses of medicine or different medicine, or in the worst case, nothing at all.
However, those differences are not because the doctors want to discriminate against black patients, but it is because of the education that they received during their learning in medical school.
Medical students are still taught that "black cannot feel the pain because they have less nerve endings" or " black have thicker skin than whites." In fact, in 2016 it was revealed that half the students at the medical school still believe those things despite they are just rumours with evidence.
I truly think that there should not be any discrimination especially in the medical field where everyone has rights to get equally good treatments. Teaching students those random rumours in higher education institutions is not acceptable. I know it will be a hard challenge for everyone, but I really hope there will be improvements asap.
