アイドル活動と癌 Life as an Idol and Life with Cancer

ご存知の方はもしかしたら少ないかもしれないですが、アイドルだった丸山夏鈴さんが２０１５年の５月２２日に亡くなりました。夏鈴さんは「夏鈴のひとりごと」という闘病動画を毎日アップしていました。この動画は夏鈴さんが亡くなる1日前に撮影された動画です。最後の最後までファンの方がたとの交流を大切にし、元気付けてくれていた夏鈴さんが私は大好きでした。小さな頃に脳腫瘍を患い、中学生の時に再発したにも関わらず夢だったアイドルのオーディションを受け夢を叶えた夏鈴さん。体調と相談しながらグループのイベントに座って参加したり、バラードの歌のみを歌ったりなどでしたが、一度もイベントを欠席したことがありませんでした。夢を叶え、なにがあっても一生懸命自分と向き合っていた夏鈴さんが伝えたかったメッセージはなんだったのでしょうか？私は、周りに感謝しながら自分のできる限りのことをすると願いは必ず叶う、そういうことを伝えたかったのかな、と思います。皆さんは夏鈴さんと同じ状況にいたら、同じことを成し遂げることはできますか？
Some of you may know Karen Maruyama, a idol member of Miss iD 2013 - 2015, passed away on May 22nd, 2015. She was no the major idol, but she was famous for uploading her life fighting against disease. This video is the last video that was uploaded, which was taken the day before she passed away. She got childhood cancer when she was little, and found the brain tumor again when she was in middle school. At the time, her dream was to become an idol, so she pushed herself to go to the idol audition and became a part of that group. She sometimes had to sit for the whole event, or only sing the slow song, but she never missed any of the events! I really think that Karin's message towards us is to keep on dreaming and look for the future even though there might be some struggles.
